My sister use to be a prominent Arizona bankruptcy lawyer, but recently she’s fallen on incredibly hard times. Apparently her firm had been bleeding money for some time, simply because the partners were draining all of the revenue and using it to finance their extravagant lifestyles. Then they were hit with an accounting scandal, which ended up bringing the whole place down. She lost her job and although she felt pretty confident that she would find another one, the economy has gotten so bad that even well-educated lawyers like her are having trouble finding work.
But the worst part of it all was that she recently bought a house, which has since dropped in value by a staggering sum of money. I went over to visit her last night and found her just staring aimlessly at her Arizona bankruptcy attorney card. She had this really lost look on her face when she saw me, and she looked at me with the saddest eyes that I had ever seen. I told her that she didn’t need to worry, that she would indeed find a job very soon, but I also said that if she needed any help that I would always be there for her.
