A Certified Nursing Assistant is an individual, who takes care of the patients in hospitals and private health centers under the supervision of doctors. Now-a-days, many states have made it mandatory for the aspiring nursing assistants to obtain certification before opting for the job of nursing.

- Conducted in order to analyze the skills acquired by the students during their CNA Duties training sessions
- Comprises of 2 tests-a written test followed by a skill test
- Written test is meant for checking the basic nursing skills possessed by the candidates
- Skill tests are more specific and usually evaluate the applicants’ understanding of major nursing subjects such as, recording blood pressure, temperature of patients, providing first aid and so on
- Only the students, who pass the written test are allowed to give the skill test
- A minimum of 80% score is needed to pass the cna practice exam and become a certified nursing assistant
